Souad Charifi | Pharmacist and Founder of Biovardi

Souad Charifi Hadj, licensed pharmacist and founder of Biovardi in Marbella

Who is Souad Charifi

Souad Charifi Hadj is a licensed pharmacist (license no. 2676) and the founder of Biovardi, the integrative parapharmacy she opened in Marbella in 2012. A Pharmacy graduate from the University of Granada, she moved to Spain from Morocco in 1995 and today works at Biovardi's physical store in the Centro Plaza shopping centre (Nueva Andalucía, Marbella), where she personally reviews every formula that enters the catalogue and advises the customers who visit or write to her.

Her professional path is tied to her personal story: a multiple sclerosis diagnosis at 23 and several serious illnesses in her family led her to study in depth the composition of the cosmetics and supplements we use every day, and to found a store where the selection would be made by a healthcare professional, not by marketing.

Areas of expertise

Cosmetic formulation and INCI analysis, certified natural and organic cosmetics, care of sensitive and redness-prone or rosacea-prone skin, appearance of dark spots and photoprotection, hair loss, skin and hair changes during perimenopause, and nutricosmetics.

How she selects Biovardi's products

Every product in the catalogue passes the same filter before going on sale:

  • Full INCI reviewed, ingredient by ingredient, by a pharmacist.
  • Actives with real backing: declared concentrations and documented efficacy, not label promises.
  • Tolerance: priority to formulas suitable for sensitive skin, free from parabens, silicones and petroleum derivatives.
  • Verifiable certifications (organic, vegan or cruelty-free) where they exist, stated as such on each product page.
  • Direct contact with the brand: only what she would use herself or recommend to her own family makes it in.
