When to choose a leave-in for curly hair
Leave-in means the product stays in your hair without rinsing. You may want softness without strong hold. The Curl Conditioners in this selection allow adaptable rinsing: follow the instructions for Curl Conditioner, Seal + Shield Conditioner or Fragrance Free Conditioner. With fine hair, rinse and adjust how much product remains.
Curl cream, activator or gel?
If you are looking for a curl activator, compare what the formula offers: conditioning, definition or hold. These creams soften and define your existing pattern; add one of our curl gels for more hold. The word “activator” alone does not tell you which to choose.
Apply your cream without overdoing it
Work section by section through soaking wet hair, following the product directions. Start with a small amount and gently scrunch upwards. Add gel afterwards if you need hold. Not every head of hair needs leave-in conditioner, cream and gel together.
What if my waves feel weighed down?
Review how much conditioner you leave in and how much cream you apply. Try one leave-in step and adjust on the next wash day; no formula gives identical results on every head of hair.
